Cole had vanished off to help with the baby. And then he got side tracked by some other things, and by the time he came to find Krem, it was a bit later than he had thought he would be when he slipped out of the bed.
When he made it back to the Herald's Rest, Maryden was already singing–Sera was going to break her lute if she sang Sera Never Was again–and the Chargers were in their corner, drinking and talking loudly.
He paused nearby, not sure if he should try and join them.
