"Don't drink anything that'll put anything on your chest," he instructed. It was amusing, but he knew it wasn't a great idea for Cole to try and drink anything stronger than the sort of wine provided by Chantry sisters, the stuff that was barely more than mildly fermented juice. He squeezed on Cole's hand briefly, offering a soft smirk. Solas doesn't like the idea that you're growing in a way he didn't anticipate or think is best for you. What he wants shouldn't concern you so much though."
He didn't trust Solas, that much was obvious. He didn't like the things that he heard around the tavern about the apostate; he was a perceptive person, and for all the bluster surrounding Solas and his goings-on, he got a feeling that something was going to happen, sooner or later, and Solas wouldn't be a peaceful researcher anymore. He kept all of that to himself, even knowing that Cole would just pluck it out of his head whether he wanted him to or not.
The kitchens were bustling at this time of day, and Krem was mostly ignored by the staff, right up until he reached for half a loaf of bread resting unattended on a counter. He rubbed the back of his hand after it had been whacked with a wooden spoon, pouting at the elderly woman that had done it until she gave in and let him have it, just to make him go away again.
