Cole's entrance went without comment from the near comatose man in his bed, and for several hours there was no movement, just the rise and fall of his breath. It wasn't until the sun had well and truly risen and people were up and moving around and shouting outside that he stirred, and even then it was only to drag his pillow down into the blanket with him and use it to block out the noise.
He had to give it up eventually though, and he grumbled at the wall, rubbing his hands into his eyes and turning over onto his back. He muttered a few course words of tevene before sitting up and letting the blanket fall from over his head, throwing his hair over his forehead as he pouted at the world in general for being awake. He was yawning and scratching here and there when he realized he wasn't alone in the room, and he squinted some as he forced his eyes to focus on Cole.
"Could've woke me instead of waiting," he pointed out, still hoarse with sleep, knowing that Cole would have simply sat for hours there unless his attention was directed to someone else's hurts. On that thought, his chest gave a dull throb. It still felt bruised, as if he'd been thwacked hard with a belt. He ignored it for the most part, just moving a little more gingerly.
