Definitely literal. The feel of Krem's mouth on his neck is pleasant enough that it would make the mage moan softly, but with the rather loud 'show' Krem is giving about his stubble, Sam instead just gives a small huff. He can't even pretend to be upset, a bit too happy about all the kisses he's getting this evening.
Giving a small noise of approval, Sam lightly trails a hand up along Krem's side. The motion is slow and eager as he lets the pads of his fingers touch, but light in case Krem isn't comfortable with it.
Krem chuckles quietly at the look Sam gives him over that, and he almost doesn't react to Sam's hands on him as they run up his sides. He can't help but stiffen up a bit as they venture upward though, smile faltering just a bit. It's silly, and he'll readily admit it, but old habits did indeed die hard. At least he doesn't make any move to push Sam away.
A distraction is in order, he thinks, and he bows his head forward, nosing up against his neck then pressing parted lips there and letting his tongue run over the closest skin. That little sound had been intriguing, and he wants to see if he can get more like it out of Sam.
Even if Krem doesn't do anything about it, the way he stiffens up under his fingers is a bit concerning. His hand pauses in its track just around Krem's ribs, but before he can think too deeply about it Sam finds himself moaning at the feel of lips and tongue once more on his neck. Honestly it feels a bit strange, but at the same time it's pleasant, which has him tilting his head more to the side for Krem to have better access.
Once more his hand slowly makes its way up, continuing up Krem's side and then around and up along the muscles of his back. Eventually his fingers find the back of Krem's head and allows his fingers to lightly scratch through the short hair there.
